The presentation format should suit the research task. Tables work for exact values, charts for comparisons and trends, and diagrams for sequences. We choose the format according to the content and document requirements.
For tables, we agree headings, groups, units and notes, and check sample sizes, percentages, statistical notation and links to the text. For charts, we select readable labels, category order, scales and ways to represent uncertainty.
Study diagrams follow the actual sequence of selection, examination and analysis. Algorithms have clear conditions for moving between stages. Consistent group, timing and criterion labels are particularly important in medical work.
Materials are delivered in an agreed editable format. We can prepare black-and-white figures for a dissertation and colour versions for a talk. Each is checked for readability and agreement with the source data.
